Food Safety and Hygiene, June 1997, reported that the Australia New Zealand Food Authority (ANZFA) had rejected an application from the Australian Specialist Cheesemakers' Association to market cheese from milk that had not been pasteurised.
The applicant has now applied to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal to have the ANZFA decision to reject the application reviewed. This means that the Tribunal will re-examine the entire matter before handing down a decision.
